1965 Lamborghini 3500GT

The 3500 GTZ isn’t considered one of the better Zagato designs executed by Ercole Spada but it’s still a wonderful piece of work from the legendary Spada – my all-time hero, who is still working today. Photo: Collier AutoMedia video.

“It’s All About People”

Bruce Meyer grew up near the old Art Center College of Design campus in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, at a time when many of the students were G.I.s just returned from the war. The vehicles of choice for these young vets were hot rods and motorcycles. Years before he became one of the world’s great enthusiasts, Bruce rode bikes with Art Center students. Today you can find the Art Center Design Studio at Petersen Automotive Museum. By the way, I’m proud to be an Art Center alum! Photo: Bruce Meyer Archive.

Mythical Silverstone

One of the many things that makes the UK’s Silverstone Circuit so iconic are the turns, my favorite being the Abbey (Turn 1). This flat-out first turn is named after the ancient Luffield Abbey, a Benedictine priory founded some time before 1133, the remains of which were found near Silverstone’s Stowe Corner. Photo: Alamy.
